Authenticity Is More Than A Buzz Word | Vol. 5
Hey there,
I'm sorry to be getting this out later in the day. Last night I took a late flight home from Las Vegas and got into bed after 2:00 AM only to wake up and head to a soccer game for Roman this morning; I typically finish up the newsletter early Saturday morning, but I was knocked out when I'm normally writing.
This week I was in Vegas for the Jolt! Conference put on by a company by the name of Snappy Kraken, a marketing company for financial advisors.
It was a great time--my panel lived up to the hype I created for it, I got to see a lot of friends, meet some new friends, and get a lot of positive feedback about PRST. For some reason, it kept coming up in conversations--probably because I can't stop talking about it 😀. I also was able to record footage for a future PRST Short...I can't wait to get the remainder of the filming I need and get another Short out.
I had a long intro planned this week's email, but this happened...
There will be plenty of time for me to share my thoughts.
Let's get to The Weekly PRST...
This Week's Top PRST
The most listened to and watched episode this week was Tuesday's Authenticity Brings The Strongest Bonds on The Daily PRST.
PassionRelationshipsSelfTime
Each week this section will consist of curated blog posts, articles, podcasts, videos, etc. that address Passion, Relationships, Self, and Time--the components of PRST.

I'm risking turning you into a Jay Shetty fan and leaving me for his content but his interviews are usually so good and they feed into PRST, so I'll roll the dice.
In this interview with Miranda Kerr you can see what someone following their passion looks and sounds like. It is obvious that Kora Organics is a business Miranda created out of passion and is truly for the betterment of others, not her bank account. Pay attention to the excitement in her voice and animation when she talks about her business and family.
That. Is. Passion.
I've highlighted a few of my favorite sections with their times--I watched this on the plane home on 2x and really thing the entire episode is worth your time but if you're pressed for time check out these timestamps:
3:14 If you’re going to do something you have to put your whole heart into it
13:42 Let your light shine--be who you are
16:21 Not project what we wants our kids to be and cultivate their passions and let them be who they are
19:42 Taking care of self—how to make that happen
21:25 Fill our own cup to give abundantly to those around them
23:08 Willow tree vs Oak tree
24:41 Purposeful pivots
36:36 Romantic view of passion and purpose built business
47:45 Worst advice: don’t go against your intuition. Her energy is infectious—this is showing the passion for what she does—mom, Kora, etc.
49:09 Attitude of gratitude

While at the conference this week I was able to reconnect with more friends I haven't seen for a couple of years, at least not in person. It was so good to give hugs, shake hands, and sit down in person and just laugh and have a good time. I also was able to see and spend time with a couple of mentors of mine.
On your Pursuit, it will be important to find people who can be mentors and even guides to help you along your way. Mentors are extremely valuable individuals because they can provide advice and encouragement to keep your momentum going. And they can also challenge, push you, and play devil's advocate, which may sound like something a hater would do but a true mentor wants you to succeed and understands sometimes we need to be challenged to reach the next level of growth. They challenge and push us out of love, not jealousy or hatred as the haters will.
Take inventory of the people in your life...how many mentors do you have? Are those mentors in alignment with your Pursuit?
Next week I'll share another type of relationship I was reminded of from my trip.

A friend of mine shared this with me after we were talking about the vision for PRST and some of the topics I've uncovered over the last year that I believe are nothing short of superpowers, if they can be mastered. We discussed manifestation, the vibrations and frequencies within the world, and the conscious being--it was fun to learn that someone I consider a close friend is aware of the same things I am learning and we've never discussed them before.
I'll provide a disclaimer for this video: I know it will sound a little "out there" but if you can listen to the overall message and not get hung up on the boat (this will make sense when you watch) and look for examples in your own life where the principles Abraham is explaining. My goal is not to convince you to believe in manifestation, the law of attraction, etc. but to share enough examples for you to see these forces in action in your own life, either in the past or in the moment, for you to draw your own conclusions on them.

"Putting things off is the biggest waste of life: It snatches away each day as it comes and denies us the present by promising the future. The greatest obstacle to living is expectancy, which hangs upon tomorrow and loses today…The whole future lies in uncertainty: Live immediately."
My favorite Stoic Seneca provides some great wisdom on the subject of time. We've looked at some of his quotes on the podcast and in The Weekly PRST. In this short post, Ryan Holiday highlights different Seneca quotes and principles regarding how we view and spend our time.
An "aha" moment from this post for me was when I read, "We think that time is ours to waste. We even say, “We have two hours to kill” or speak of dead time between projects. The irony! Because time is the one that’s killing us. Each minute that passes is not just dead to us, it brings us closer to being dead." How many times have you said you've got time to kill?!? That phrase will no longer a part of my vocabulary.
I'd love to hear which of the 6 techniques resonated with you the most and why--was it one you've mastered or one you need to improve upon or one that you just really liked? Drop an email and let me know!

Mine was "Be Ruthless To The Things That Don't Matter"--an area I need to improve upon.
More From @DrifterShoots
Last week I mentioned Isaac Wright, aka Drift, and his NFT projects. A couple of his videos showed up in my YouTube suggestions and I thought I'd share them just because I think they are breathtaking videos. They most likely won't help you on your Pursuit, or maybe they will, but I am fascinated by the views, the risk, and the results.
Check them out and be warned if you are afraid of heights these might make you a little anxious 😀.
This first video is shot above NYC and toward the end of the video there is a quote I really appreciate--this will speak to you:
"I believe the only hope for us is throwing ourselves into the void time and time again. And that in time we will find that everything we desire lies on the other side of fear and that vulnerability is truly our strength."
The other side of fear doesn't have to be climbing to the top of a skyscraper--it could be asking for a promotion, starting that business, making a move, or asking that person on a date.
The second video is shot above Chicago. Insane views.

Be reminded to look for the little signs, not just the big ones.
