Do Not Become Weary In Doing Good | Vol.4
Hey there,
I have a friend who will periodically send me a voice note with a reading from scripture and a prayer for me--it is one of the most amazing gifts I get. When I see a voice note text from "MB" I know something special is coming my way.
I've been sitting on his last note to share here and this week feels like the right week to share the scripture he read to me...
But first, I want to share a thought I've been having a lot since starting the newsletter and focusing more time on PRST.
I notice a lot of what I'm reading, sharing, and what will be shared through PRST is spiritual and may even challenge people's religion or faith--I don't believe it will challenge in a bad way. I find myself referring to The Universe more and more. I grew up Catholic, still go to church regularly, and have a relationship with God. I do not believe referencing the Universe when talking about signs, like the bald eagles, or things being manifested takes away from the faith I've grown up with. I believe it is all connected and truthfully is interchangeable. I share this because I believe PRST is universal--any faith or belief system can support following your passion, receiving signs from a Higher Power, tapping into your inner Self, and having the ability to create the life that you want--it doesn't matter who or what is helping you. So please replace the nouns and adjectives you might find in PRST with the ones that support your beliefs because PRST is for everyone. I don't want to message and mission of PRST to be lost because of the terms I choose to use when sharing stories and thoughts.
Ok, back to the scripture MB read to me...
It was a verse in Galatians, chapter 6 verse 9:
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
Once you find your passion, your Personal Legend to steal from The Alchemist, and you head on your Pursuit you should trust and believe that good things will come as you stay committed to what you are doing, assuming it is for good (I don't see anyone in the PRST community being out for anything but good).
I have no plans to give up with PRST and I hope you resist the urge to bail on your Pursuit.
Final thought: MB is another example of why Relationships are an important part of PRST and why you should surround yourself with great people.
Let's get to The Weekly PRST...
This Week's Top PRST
The most listened to and watched episode this week was Put On Blinders, Just Not Too Tight on The PRST.
PassionRelationshipsSelfTime
Each week this section will consist of curated blog posts, articles, podcasts, videos, etc. that address Passion, Relationships, Self, and Time--the components of PRST.

"An up and coming music artist or an author instead of taking a publisher’s money up front and then share the revenue with that organization, they can now sell to their social media audience an NFT and give them a percentage of the royalties of the future earnings instead of from a publisher."
- Gary Vaynerchuk, Interview with CNN 5/7/2021
You'd have to be living under a rock to not have at least heard about the opportunities, not just the money being made, in the crypto space, especially with NFTs. If you aren't well versed in NFTs check out this great post by Bobby Hundreds or this one on The Verge.
There's no doubt plenty of "junk" in the NFTs right now--there are a lot of copycat projects and scams finding their way to the market. However, despite the froth in the market there are a lot of great stories of people creating life-changing projects. The NFT space (really crypto in general) is allowing creatives to bring their work to their fans and communities. You need to look no further than my favorite creator, Jack Butcher and his Visualize Value NFTs.
Not only are professional creators finding life-altering financial gains but so are "average" individuals, even kids. I was meeting with a client this month when the topic of crypto came up and they told me about a 12 year old they saw on The Today show who had made millions selling her NFT project called Long Neckie Women. Nyla Hayes learned how to make her physical drawings into NFTs, list them on OpenSea, and change the financial dynamics for her family. She also became Time Magazine's TimePieces first resident artist.
While my clients were in my office, I pulled up OpenSea found Nyla's collection and snagged one--it was partly to show my clients how to navigate a crypto market and partly to support the project.
One more example...
Isaac Wright, aka Drift (@driftershoots on Twitter), has sold millions worth of his photos that show breathtaking and sometimes fear-inducing views. Last month on the anniversary of being released from prison (a wild story in itself), Drift sold millions of dollars worth of a project he called "First Day Out"...this was another project I supported because it's probably the only way I'll have a Drift NFT--his "Where My Vans Go" photos go for over $100k.
In 2019, a16z wrote about the "passion economy" and in 2022 more people are finding the opportunity to turn their passions into careers and additional income sources. Artists, musicians, and other creatives will continue to look to crypto and NFTs to make their passions a more significant part of their lives...and I love to see it!
Speaking on NFTs, PRST has its own wallet and will be collecting NFTs that are supporting creators who embody PRST or fit our brand. We might even have some NFT ideas of our own 🤷♂️....

Bob Proctor was a gem--I wish I would have found his content sooner. Thankfully, he has a huge library of content but sadly it won't be growing anymore after his death earlier this year.

In late 2019 I was introduced to a "productivity mindset" coach named Jean; I put those in quotes because my coach was so much more than a productivity coach. I'm not sure if he has the same impact on all of his students but for me it wasn't the increased productivity that made our relationship so valuable--it was the introduction to meditation and visualization.
Prior to meeting Jean I'd try meditating mostly via the Headspace app. I always struggled with the visualization that was a part of the practice. I'll never forget when Jean took my through a guided visualization as a part of our get-to-know meeting. I was able to see my Higher Self, which was represented by a bright light (think like the sun). It was the first time I was able to actually visualize anything--I never had any problems thinking about what ever prompts I'd receive in a meditation but I could never actually SEE anything. I signed up to work with Jean immediately.
Each week for 4 months Jean and I would meet for about an hour. We'd do some reading, he'd educate me on topics that I'm spending more time on today like frequency, the depths of the brain, and more, and then he'd always take me through a guided visualization that was designed to help me overcome any roadblocks keeping me from accomplishing the things I wanted to do--we'd find the little "i's" and have a conversation between those doubts, excuses, and roadblocks with my Higher Self. The Higher Self always left overcoming the little i's and I'd end each session with more clarity and less reservations. The little i's never stood a chance.
My time working with Jean not only gave me better habits and a positive experience with meditation to use to continue my practice on my own, but it also exposed me to concepts that I think were new or a struggle to most of Jean's clients. Self-awareness, confidence, optimism, and manifestation were some of the areas of teaching that Jean covered and as he explained each I realized I already knew a lot of what he was teaching--it wasn't that I needed to be exposed to the topics in his lessons but that I need to intentionally begin to harness these traits and "powers" that were already a part of my DNA.
I didn't realize it at the time but working with Jean was the beginning of the spiritual journey and awakening I've been on the last few years, which has gone to a new level over the last 6-9 months.
Meditation obviously has a lot of benefits--we hear more and more about the practice. There are tons of apps that can assist you with starting or building your practice. If you haven't given meditation a try, I highly recommend it--don't take it from me that it can be very beneficial. Here's an article from Greater Good with some ways mindful meditation is beneficial to your health.
A couple closing thoughts:
There's a reason so many "successful" people talk about meditation (and journaling and exercise)--because it works.
The benefits will vary from person to person. Meditation might help with anxiety, productivity, patience, happiness, creativity, and more.
Meditating doesn't have to be sitting down legs crossed with your arms in the finger to thumb pose--you can meditate laying down, while walking, or pretty much any way you want that allows for you to give your mind space to just be.
You don't have to meditate for hours a day for it to be impactful--I try to do a 10-12 minute meditation each morning. That's it. I plan to work up to longer sessions and maybe one each night but I'm seeing benefits from just 10 minutes a day.
The Open app is my favorite meditation app---I've used Headspace and Calm but Open has been the one that I've enjoyed the most. I love everything about it, even down to the design and experience which sounds silly but matters to me.
Finding time to give your mind to slow down, tap into your true thoughts, and just slow down will prove to be helpful in your Pursuit--I highly recommend it.

Khe Hy is getting tons of love this week. In this old post on Rad Reads he walks through conducting a time audit breaking down daily activities into different levels of importance to see how much time is being wasted or could be shifted to activities that are more enjoyable or productive. You can do this exercise in your professional life or personal life. If you've never done it before, it might be beneficial to take a look at both. Be prepared to be shocked at the amount of screen time you'll learn you're having.
Check out what Khe learned and how to conduct your own time audit.
More From Russ
I think I'm almost out of content from Russ 😀. He's got me more excited about PRST than ever--check out this conversation with another PRST favorite, Jay Shetty. Russ just began a tour and I'm looking at the dates trying to determine if I should make a road trip to check him out in person--could be a cool PRST meet up!
This Week Of PRST
The Daily PRST. In this week's episodes you'll:
Get inspired by Jack Butcher, Trung Phan, and Bilal Zaidi who produce one of my favorite podcasts, Not Investment advice.
Learn why you don't need to finish every book you read--this extends beyond books.
Be introduced to the Law of Giving And Receiving.
Hear more about the quote you've seen all week from Bobby Hundreds (see image at end of this email).
Check out all of the episodes here.
The PRST. Almost a year ago I recorded an episode with my friend and mentor Khe Hy that in hindsight was one of the first podcasts on All About Your Benjamins that were PRST in nature. You can find the episode here.
PRST Shorts. I'm close to having the next one ready. I finished getting enough film for the next short and need to record the conversation to provide the audio. We're probably a couple of weeks away from the next one. For now, get caught up on the first three Shorts.
On Our PRST. If you haven't heard all three episodes of On Our PRST you can get caught up by visiting the OOP page here.
Something To Meditate On...
This is probably more for me...but maybe it'll resonate with you too.
From a reader:
I just need someone, not everyone...
I love to hear from you about your Pursuit and how it's going. No pressure but if you ever feel the urge to send an email to share a success, a frustration, or ask a question please know I'm always here!
Keep Pursuing,
Justin
