Are You Your Biggest Fan? | Vol. 17
Hey there,
Last week we started shooting shots. Did you have any makes? I went 0 for 3 but I know some friends followed my lead and actually were successful with their shot. So, that's a win for me!
This week I took my shot publicly with a Twitter thread (not one of those annoying threads)--
My shot is actually one part shooting my shot and one part manifestation.
I was really excited to put this out on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, although it has already been buried and is not being seen anymore but that's ok. I don't check my analytics on Twitter that often but this tweet got some pretty good engagement, at least for me: 5,000 impressions, 200 engagement, and 130 expands to see the whole thread so the initial shot made a some waves in my network.
More importantly it has been put out in the Universe and I'm already planning on at least 5 paid speaking engagements in the next year...none of them are set yet but I can already see myself giving them. As I continue to work on improving the presentations, expanding my expertise and knowledge in the topics, and moving towards the goal, the Universe will be working with me to make it happen.
My final thought on why you should share your goal with people--it doesn't have to be on Twitter--is because people don't know where you are heading or what you are wanting to accomplish if you don't tell them. Just as you are going to look to help others on your Pursuit, others will look to help you while they are on their Pursuit and they can't help if they don't know where you need it. I have no doubt that multiple of my initial speaking engagements will come through someone I know in my network and only because I've share that I'm looking to speak where I can provide value and that it is going to come with a price tag.
As you'll hear/see below from Tyler, the Creator you should be your own biggest fan and share what you are creating, pursuing, or doing...there is a tasteful way to do so. It's on you to let others know your gifts, ambitions, and more and from there the Universe will help you out!
Let's get to The PRST...
Passion. Relationships. Self. Time.
Each week this section will consist of curated blog posts, articles, podcasts, videos, etc. that address Passion, Relationships, Self, and Time--the components of PRST.

Whether you believe in manifestation or not, only positive things will happen when you are thinking about where you are going or the life you really want. It's going to force your actions to move you in that direction and ultimately right where you want to be...I don't care if you call it manifestation but I do care that you adopt the mindset 😀

If you are creating and building, your audience will be an extension of you and you'll eventually begin to build a relationship with your audience and followers. The back and forths I have with some of you in our inboxes or DMs on social is a great example of how relationships begin to develop between a creator/leader and their audience. Sometimes, for example like my relationships with Khe Hy or Carl Paoli, these relationships end up developing beyond the content and become real-life friendships.
"We’re all on the same playing field fighting for a fixed sum of attention (one could argue the scarcest, limited resource we have left). So, not everyone can become an important beacon - which enough of the right people will pay consistent and focused attention to. Only those distinctly and unmissably noticeable that add value we can’t find elsewhere earn such privilege. So in short, it’s extraordinarily difficult. But that’s exactly why it’s so valuable …hard things generally are."

I shared a clip from this interview on Twitter where Tyler talks about being your own biggest fan and sharing your work nonstop because of the time, energy, love, and effort you put into it. If you are creating anything and you're putting your all into it, then why wouldn't you be proud of it and share it with everyone?
I'm not going to lie and say I'm the biggest fan of Tyler, the Creator's music because I'm not--I like it and I respect him a lot for creating and sounding like he wants to. I am a HUGE fan of his ability to create and pursue what he wants--it appears as if he doesn't let the fear of what others might thing hold him back.
In my eyes Tyler, the Creator is 100% PRST and I thought this conversation was so good.

Khe Hy is a great resource for many things, one of which is productivity. He has created a matrix that references the different types of work we do throughout the day and assigns a value to them...$10, $100, $1,000, and $10k work.
I find myself still doing a lot of $10 work---editing podcasts, distributing content on social media, and creating images on Canva. One of the reason I still do this work is because I enjoy doing it but I am also getting close to the pain point where despite my enjoyment, the $10 work is keeping me from progressing in my Pursuit at a quicker pace. Interestingly enough, I've done a good job of moving onto the $10k work at RLS Wealth, which allows me the time for PRST and my Pursuit.
Give this a quick read and start thinking about what type of work you're doing. What can you delegate or change to focus on a higher value of work? If you really like the idea, Khe has more resources and courses to help you along your productivity journey.
